Stroke Recovery Association of Calgary (SRAC)

Over a thousand people suffer a stroke each year in Calgary. Many of these persons are discharged back into the community and suffer from emotional stress, and/or speech and physical defects.
The Association was formed in 1980 and is comprised of stroke survivors, their families and supporters in Calgary, Alberta and the surrounding area.  As a volunteer organization we address the specific needs of stroke survivors in dealing with their new lifestyle, and help caregivers dealing with stroke survivors.
